1981 Aria Pro II LC-750 Custom 1981 & new fitted Hard Case

This Aria Pro II LC-750 Custom is from the "Transition Series" made for Aria Pro II at the famous Matsumoku factory in Japan. You'll note that both the headstock & body shape are different to earlier Aria Pro II guitars which were really just LP clones. It is quite a rarity & was owned from new by the original keeper. It hadn't been played for a long time when it came in & required a full strip down and clean. Switches & pots required attention as did the fretboard and tuners but the gold hardwear is in fantastic condition for a 36 year old guitar. Everything is original & the guitar has Matsumoku AL-7 pickups fitted with a coil split switch

The guitar has a Mahogany body with a Maple cap, a set in Maple neck & an Ebony fretboard. It's a heavyweight & tips the scales at  4582 grams (10lb 2oz) The body & headstock have triple binding & the fretboard is also bound. looking at the original finishes available, at first I thought it might be Tobacco Burst but now I'm not so sure. I think it may be "Oak Shade"

The guitar had a few small dings on the back of the body & also some scratching. I have repaired & improved a couple of these and taken out most of the scratches but please note that although this guitar is in excellent condition for the year, it is not perfect. Please check out all of the gallery photographs where you will also find a Matsumoku brochure photograph that I found on line.

The serial number on the back of the headstock confirms the guitar to be made in 1981. There is also the original "Made in Japan" sticker still present. Unfortunately no case was ever purchased with the guitar so it is supplied with a brand new fitted hard case supplied by Thomann

Hard Case

As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black fitted hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £30 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag

If in doubt, please email me first as Highlands & Islands can sometimes be a little dearer for shipping
