2015 Fender Japan Exclusive Classic 50’s Telecaster VNT
with new Hard Case
Every so often a guitar comes in which is just that little bit better than the usual ones. Fender Japan make great guitars (some even say they are better than those from over the pond!) anyway but this example of a 50's classic has wonderful figuring in the grain of the Ash body and some lovely flaming on the Maple neck. Please check out the gallery photos on this one. It's a peach!!
This excellent 50's style Telecaster from Fender Japan is from their "Exclusive Classic" range. It's pretty much a '52 reissue without the brass slotted screws & brass saddles but these could be easily changed for a few pounds. Personally I don't think I would want to. The bodies on these guitars are Ash and they look and play really nicely as you would expect. 50's Tele's are always really popular on my website so I always like to have a few in stock
This particular guitar is around 3 years old & is mint. Not a mark, scratch, dent or blemish could I find anywhere on it. It's hard to find these guitars outside of Japan. I did find one being sold from Japan at a price around $1020.00 inc shipping. That's about £775 but it doesn't include VAT & import duty (Appx 25%) & it only comes in a gig bag. That would mean the price is actually around £1050! Quite a bit more than this guitar.
The guitar looks great & the build quality is as you would expect. What more can I say.

Here are some specifications that I managed to find
Thomann Rectangular Hard Case (Black)
As stated many times, due to courier damage, all my guitars are shipped in hard cases (usually new) this one being a plain black one. I do have a tweed option and these are a little dearer (extra £10). If you prefer that, please email me for details. If you are collecting, I'm happy to knock off the price of the case (About £30) & I may even have an old gig bag you can have to take it away in
So to sum up, a superb Fender Japan 50's style Telecaster . This model is near impossible to find here in the UK.
