Fender Japan JG66-85 Jaguar 3TS
2002/4 & New Hard Case

£689.00

SOLD

This is the second of 2 Jaguars I currently have in stock. Both are 3 tone sunburst but this guitar was not imported by me, it was purchased in the UK. You'll notice that the pickguard is brown tortoiseshell rather than the more red on the other. Both are otherwise exactly the same but this guitar is a couple of years newer and is in fantastic condition. It only had two tiny blemishes on the top edge when it came in. These have both been repaired and now can't easily be seen without a magnifying glass.

This guitar was made in Japan 2002/4 and has been little used. The frets, trussrod & neck are all excellent. The marks as mentioned above have been photographed and are shown in the gallery, post repair. I did notice some pick marks on the scratchplate & pickup covers but these are minor points. The neck is good and the guitar is a great player. The shorter scale & offset body make these guitars very popular with "Surf" & "Indie" players alike. They were introduced by Fender in 1962 and was the most expensive Fender at that time. It was hoped it would compete against Gibson but it never really sold as well as the Strat or the Tele (both cheaper!)

Hard Case

As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. Jaguars have a wider body than Strats and Teles and this is a tight fit in the hard case but it does offer it good protection in transit although not ideal in size. If you want a particular fitted case for the guitar, this will be more expensive although I am happy to research it. Just let me know. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £30 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag
