With it's shorter scale length of 24" offset body & superb playability, Fender Mustangs are really popular these days. This particular model is the MG73 vintage reissue from Fender Japan with a competition stripe. The Chrome Red body & matching headstock make it a real head turner & in little used condition & no fretwear, this guitar is a real beauty & cannot be bought in the UK unless it has been imported, like this one. I couldn't find any others listed anywhere in the UK
Looking online, you can get one of these at around £700 but that is without shipping from Japan & import duty paid. This amounts to over £200 & it won't be in a hard case.
This guitar was made in Japan 2010/12 and has been barely used. The frets, trussrod & neck are all excellent. There is one minor chip where the body is joined to the neck which is shown in the photographs but that is about it and is shown in the gallery. The shorter scale & offset body make these guitars very popular with "Surf" & "Indie" players alike. Mustangs were introduced by Fender in 1964 as replacements for the "student" Musicmaster & Duo Sonic. Originally they came in a shorter scale length of 22.5" but the 24" scale length was overwhelmingly more popular. This is a reissue of a 1973 model. The competition stripes were introduced to emulate the Shelby Mustang cars.
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. Jaguars have a wider body than Strats and Teles and this is a tight fit in the hard case but it does offer it good protection in transit although not ideal in size. If you want a particular fitted case for the guitar, this will be more expensive although I am happy to research it. Just let me know. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £30 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag
