2008 Fender Japan TN-72 Thinline Natural
with new hard case
Another cracking guitar from Fender Japan. With it's semi hollow Ash body & Maple neck the guitar boasts a pair of Fender Dragster pickups which give the guitar a true 70's look & it sounds great too! The natural finish looks stunning.
This particular guitar is near mint. There were a couple of faint scratches near the neck plate on the back but that was about it. There is no fret wear and the guitar plays and sounds as you would expect. Wonderful!
It's hard to find these guitars outside of Japan. They have been superceded by the "exclusive classic" range & to give a price comparison, I did find one being sold from Japan at a price of $1312.00 inc shipping. That's about £950 but it doesn't include VAT & import duty (Appx 25%) & it only comes in a gig bag. That would mean the price is actually around £1200! Quite a bit more than this guitar.
You can buy a Mexican Fender version of this model online for £930 or you can get a USA model for £1700!
The guitar looks great & the build quality is as you would expect. What more can I say.

New Thomann Hard Case:
As stated many times, due to courier damage, all my guitars are shipped in hard cases (usually new) this one being a plain black one. I do have a tweed option and these are a little dearer (extra £10). If you prefer that, please email me for details. If you are collecting, I'm happy to knock off the price of the case (About £30) & I may even have an old gig bag you can have to take it away in
So to sum up, a superb Fender Thinline from Fender Japan. This model is near impossible to find here in the UK.
