What a great find this was by my supplier in Japan. this 40 year old guitar has been really well cared for and is in fab condition for its age. It was produced during the time when Japanese manufacturers like Fernandes, Greco & Tokai were trying to replicate the USA models & making a superb job of it. So much so that guitars from this era are in big demand if they have been well cared for as this guitar has.
It has a solid Ash body & Maple neck. The pickups are Fernandes own which, once again, are highly rated. Taking a look at the guitar & then comparing it to a 1970's Fender Stratocaster, it's a faithful copy. Large headstock with scrolled script (looking remarkably like F*ender from a distance) Maple neck with 3 bolt fixing & micro tilt adjustment. A bridge with a huge steel block & period & design correct chrome saddles. The body is nicely routed. There are a few nicks and scratches around the body but all in all it's really good. The frets look to have been dressed fairly recently and show no indents although there is some wear, it does not need a refret & is good to play for a long while yet.
Take a look at the gallery where I have photographed all aspects of the guitar.
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. Jaguars have a wider body than Strats and Teles and this is a tight fit in the hard case but it does offer it good protection in transit although not ideal in size. If you want a particular fitted case for the guitar, this will be more expensive although I am happy to research it. Just let me know. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £30 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag
