2005 Squier by Fender Esprit MIK & Hard Case

£379.00

Superb build quality & playability from Squier Korea on this near immaculate guitar, with Seymour Duncan designed pickups. Made in limited numbers, a sought after guitar

In the early 1980's when Fender Japan were making the JV Squiers & then the contemporary Stratocasters & early Telecasters, Dan Smith came up with designs for 3 different guitars to rival Gibsons Les Pauls & 335's & other larger bodied jazz guitars. These were the Fender Flame, Esprit & D'Aquisto. All were well received but only made in limited numbers between 1983 & 1985. Around 20 years later Squier decided to reissue the Esprit & once again they were made in limited numbers. They still had chambered bodies but there we other subtle differences. Nevertheless, they were a fine guitar & are quite sought after today.

This particular guitar is an excellent example of a Squier Esprit. It has no visible damage or wear & is finished in black. Please check out the photo gallery. More photos can always be provided on request. It is supplied with a used but well fitting case. The right sized case is a real job to find for the Esprits but luckily I had saved this case when it came in a couple of years ago with another guitar.

A beautiful looking guitar. it has had little use & plays really nicely. Well balanced & with nice low action. It suits Blues/Rock or Jazz equally well

These pickups are rated very well on line & originally I thought of changing them but they do everything I need & you get a good sound with no "muddiness" which is common on some cheaper pickups.

Squier changed the headstock design and it isn't bound like on the original Esprits. It isn't unattractive though & the tuners work well

Looking at the body, it seems to be made from 3 pieces of Mahogany. There are no scratches, dents or any bucklerash. It's been very well cared for

Serial number confirms manufacture in 2005 in Korea

Hard Case

As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £30 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag

If you are further interested in this guitar, you can either email me with any queries & I'll do my best to get back to you within 24 hours.

Or, you can buy easily and safely using the Paypal "buy now" button. Don't forget to select the right option using the drop down menu on price, i.e. Collection, UK shipping or EU shipping. If in doubt, please email me first as Highlands & Islands can sometimes be a little dearer for shipping
