2010 Edwards ESP Japan E-LP-85 SD Cherry Sunburst & new Hard Case
Here's another excellent guitar from Edwards ESP. This Les Paul model is based on a Les Paul Standard and with its USA Seymour Duncan humbuckers it's a lovely guitar. Edwards guitars are part of the Japanese ESP group & this one has the usual top quality build and specs from this guitar builder. Mahogany body with Maple top, Mahogany neck & USA Seymour Duncan pickups.
Edwards guitars are made in Japan by ESP. You won't see very many in the UK & every one of those I have seen has been an import. As far as I am aware, Edwards guitars are generally close replicas of USA guitars & as such, they are just made for the Japanese domestic market. What I will say about them is that they are built to a really high standard & not only that, they use good woods (Ash/Alder/Mahogany etc) and are usually fitted with USA pickups & electrics (CTS pots & switches) and Japanese GOTOH hardwear. The Edwards Les Paul range are always popular & they never hang around very long.
This particular guitar is finished in a Cherry Sunburst. It had some small chips on the top of the headstock and another on the front edge near the 3 way switch. They have been repaired & I have highlighted them in the gallery photos. This guitar has been used but any marks are consistent with age The frets have around 70% life left and the guitar plays really well.
