Here's a real beauty from Fender Japan. With its special competition stripe & colour matched headstock, this MG-73 Mustang is a real head turner. It's a '73 reissue of the ever popular Mustang. Finished in chrome red with a black 3 ply pickguard. This lightweight medium scale guitar is nice looking, sounds good and very easy to play thanks to it's slim neck & bright responsive pickups.
For a 10 year old guitar it's in fantastic condition with just one scratch on the back that I could see. It looks to have only been lightly used and it plays very nicely. The competition stripe models were a limited edition and you don't see very many. Chrome red is also quite a difficult colour to find in the UK. The black pickguard also looks super cool!
About the Fender Mustang...
Originally built as a student guitar by Fender USA back in the 60's the most notable thing about the Mustang is the shorter 24" scale which is the same as the Musicmaster, Duo-sonic & Jaguar. They have proven very popular over the years as a "surf" guitar & again with grunge bands like Nirvana. They continue to be popular today. The shorter scale & lightweight body also makes them popular with players with smaller hands. Two single coil pickups, both with in/out phase switching & a dynamic vibrato system mean that they are a little bit different to the standard Strats & Teles. The 60's reissue models have a simple "slab" body but the later MG-69 & MG-73 models have a contoured body and also have metallic finishes & colour matched headstocks.

Thomann Black Hard Case
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. This case can be upgraded to a very nice tweed one but these are an additional £12 each at present. Please contact me before purchasing if you would like this. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £30 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that i won't ship a guitar in a gigbag
If you are further interested in this guitar, you can either email me with any queries & I'll do my best to get back to you within 24 hours.
Or, you can buy easily and safely using the PayPal "buy now" button. Don't forget to select the right option using the drop down menu on price, i.e. Collection, UK shipping or EU shipping. If in doubt, please email me first as Highlands & Islands can sometimes be a little dearer for shipping
