1995-1996 Fender Japan ST57-53 Stratocaster 2TS & new Hard Case
Well, this guitar must win the award for the tattiest guitar to appear on the website this year! Having said that, if you want a "Made in Japan" Fender '57 Reissue stratocaster which is all original, plays well, has good frets & neck and don't mind the very "roadworn" condition & most importantly, don't want to pay too much, then this could be the guitar for you. With it's one piece Maple neck, skunk stripe and 7.25" radius fretboard this is, as usual an excellent reissue stratocaster. This one has Fender Japan vintage alnico pickups & an authentic single ply 8 hole pickguard.
The guitar has a "Crafted in Japan" "N" serial number so was made in 1995-1996 so it's around 25 years old. The overall condition I would certainly describe as "tatty" with dents and chips all around the outside of the guitar. There are also dents on the front and back but these aren't nearly as bad as the photos will show. I repaired a couple on the front & the guitar looks much improved for it. I haven't touched anything else but I have photographed everything which can be seen in the gallery. I think the guitar has real character & at over £100 cheaper than equivalent pristine '57 Strats I have had it's a really good buy.
The playability is very good & everything works as it should.

Thomann Black Hard Case
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. This case can be upgraded to a very nice tweed one but these are an additional £12 each at present. Please contact me before purchasing if you would like this. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £30 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that i won't ship a guitar in a gigbag
