1994 Fender Japan ST62-54 Stratocaster Black & new hard case

Here's a well priced '62 Reissue Stratocaster from Fender Japan that came in recently. Made at the Fujigen factory in 1994, it arrived with a hand painted scratchplate in blue. (see gallery photos) Otherwise, the guitar was quite sound. It has some dents and scratches around the body but these are consistent with age as she's nearly 30 years old. The frets have a little wear, once again, consistent with age but there are no indents on the frets and the guitar plays nicely. I couldn't let it go back out with the blue scratchplate & I couldn't get a white/black/white one in Japanese spec. The closest I could get was one from "guitars electric.co.uk" who provide a vast range of scratchplates & pickguards which are made to the US spec but are also the best fit for Japanese guitars. I had to make 2 additional holes and slightly reshape the area around the neck pocket. As you can see, I decided to go for a black/white/black one and also replaced the backplate which was missing. The end result is very good (in my opinion) however it's not original so the guitar is priced accordingly. Having said that, the guitar plays really nicely & looks pretty good.

My first Fender Japan Stratocaster was a 1996 version in Sunburst. I loved that guitar & wished I'd never sold it. Being a slightly later version to this one, Fender Japan had introduced aged parts whereas these are still white but that's the only difference I can see.

So, a '62 Reissue Fender Stratocaster with a brand new hard case for £575.00 is a really good deal & around £100.00 cheaper than most of my other Fender Japan guitars

Hard Case

As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. This case can be upgraded to a very nice tweed one but these are an additional £12 each at present. Please contact me before purchasing if you would like this. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £30 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that i won't ship a guitar in a gigbag

If you are further interested in this guitar, you can either email me with any queries & I'll do my best to get back to you within 24 hours.

Or, you can buy easily and safely using the PayPal "buy now" button. Don't forget to select the right option using the drop down menu on price, i.e. Collection, UK shipping or EU shipping. If in doubt, please email me first as Highlands & Islands can sometimes be a little dearer for shipping
