2013 Fender Japan TL-71 AYS Telecaster "Ayous" Special Edition & New Hard Case

JAPAN IMPORT
Made in 2013, this 1971 Reissue Telecaster is in great condition. If you're looking for a lightweight Telecaster, then this could very well be the one for you. It's a special edition and made from a wood called "Ayous" "Wawa" or "African Whitewood". Similar to Ash, it is lighter and gives a bright crisp sound. Ayous is quite scarce & not normally used in guitar building. The total weight of this guitar is 3.17kg (6lbs 15.8oz) which compares to a similar Ash bodied Telecaster which weighs 3.71kg (8lb 2oz) The guitar body is made up from just 2 pieces (see photos)
When I checked this guitar all over I found 2 or 3 small dents around the edges of the guitar & some scratches on the pickguard. That was about it. The guitar has been well cared for & looks and plays very well. The frets are little worn with no indents
I had a look online & I found a few other examples from around 2013. There doesn't seem to have been very many around

As stated many times, due to courier damage, all my guitars are shipped in hard cases (usually new) this one being a plain black one. I do have a tweed option and these are a little dearer (extra £12). If you prefer that, please email me for details. If you are collecting, I'm happy to knock off the price of the case (About £30) & I may even have an old gig bag you can have to take it away in
So to sum up, a superb Fender 71 Reissue Special Edition Telecaster from Fender Japan. This model is near impossible to find here in the UK unless you import it.
