You may not have heard of "CoolZ" but you have probably heard of the factory where it was made. Fujigen-Gakki is one of the best known guitar makers in Japan & over the years has been responsible for nearly all of the finest Japanese made guitars. Ibanez, Orville, Fender, Greco, Epiphone Elite, Yamaha & many others were/are all made at Fujigen. Fujigen make their own FGN brand and also make guitars for Japanese distributors Shimamura & these are the History & CoolZ brands. You don't see them outside of Japan as they are for the domestic market only but they are built to Fujigen's usual high standard. I've had a few CoolZ guitars on the website over the years and this is the second Les Paul Special & I have to say, once again I'm impressed.
This guitar has a solid Mahogany body and neck & Rosewood fingerboard. The finish is a very popular TV Yellow & the guitar has GOTOH SD-90 tuners, a GOTOH bridge & a bone nut. The guitar also features Fujigen's own CFS "Circular Fretting System" which improves intonation & playability. It really is a well made guitar. The P-90 pickups are branded as "PS-3" which I assume are Fujigen's own. They work well & the guitar has a really good sound. There are a few demos on YouTube
The overall condition is excellent for a 10 year old guitar with almost no scratches or dents & none that would show in the photographs.
The guitar plays really well. Straight neck, low action and good pickups. Overall, for a Japanese, Fujigen built guitar at this price with a fitted hard case this is amazing value.

As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and bring your own gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag
