1978 Greco EG-700S Sunburst MIJ & original hard case. This guitar is in very good original condition for a guitar that's approaching 50 years old. A lot of the older "lawsuit" MIJ guitars have modifications on them from changed pickups to replacement tuners, missing pickguards, refinishes etc etc. This particular guitar would appear to be all original. I just tuned it up and had a strum. It plays great and the Maxon U-2000 pickups sound fab, especially with some overdrive!
Checking the guitar, I noticed dullness to the pickups and tuners, some scratching here and there but nothing excessive. No evidence of any repairs to the neck. There is a scratch on the back of the headstock between the tuners which can be seen in the photos. Just to be clear, it's a scratch & not a split. When the guitar arrived from Japan it was in a period correct, unbranded rectangular guitar case. I can guess that this was maybe a case purchased with the guitar from new but, unlike a fitted case, there is no neck joint protection so shipping would be tricky. I have therefore supplied a new Thomann fitted hard case for shipping the guitar in. Should you want the original case as well, I'll have to adjust the price and then send you both.
To sum up, this is a very good example of a 1970's Fujigen-Gakki built guitar that is very worthy for collection.

So to sum up, an excellent guitar from Greco Japan. This model is not so easy (or as cheap) to find here in the UK unless you import it. Why not play something that's just a little bit different?
