1981 Ibanez Japan F-300CS & Hard Case
This guitar has now been sold
38 year old Fujigen made Ibanez acoustic in great condition
As regular visitors know, I don't usually sell acoustic guitars but this vintage Japanese Acoustic came in recently as a PX & I felt that the guitar was too good and a bit too special to simply list on the pages of Ebay
The guitar was made at the famous Fujigen-Gakki facility in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan at a time some would consider was it's heyday. In 1982 the factory started building guitars for Fender and at the same time the factory was producing the wonderful Ibanez Artist series too. This guitar is in great condition for its age. It has had a fairly recent refret which has been carried out to a good standard. When it came in there were a few rough edges at the end of the frets which I hate so it has had a trip to Andy Crockett, the highly rated luthier that I use. It plays beautifully now and would be a great addition to anyone's collection.
The guitar also had a couple of small dents on the front and the back these have now been filled levelled & polished & are hard to spot.
The guitar is basically a copy of the Gibson Hummingbird acoustic and is part of the Ibanez Floral series of Concord acoustics. Laminate construction. Natural Spruce top, Cherry wine finished Mahogany back & sides. Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard.
