Orville Les Paul Custom LPC-75 MIJ Antique White & New Hard Case

This Orville Les Paul Custom was made at the Terada factory in Japan in 1991. It has aged really nicely with the antique white yellowing & discolouring in places. The gold hardwear has also tarnished and some of the screws are a bit rusty but I think this all adds to the vintage look of this 29 year old guitar. Weighing in at 4526 grammes (just under 10lbs) it's a heavy beast but there's no chambering on this body! For anyone who wants to know a bit more about these great Japanese built guitars which were made under the Gibson umbrella, here is some history:

The reason they are so popular is that they are really well made guitars from either Fujigen or Terada factories in Japan. There are Orville by Gibson guitars & Orville guitars. Both were made at the same factories to the same high quality but the only difference with an OBG guitar is that they had USA Gibson pickups & electrics

Orville guitars were made in Japan from 1988-1998 when Yamano Gakki took over the distribution of  Gibson guitars in Japan. They decided to expand the brand & so guitars were built in the above mentioned facilities for Gibson USA but were branded Orville, which was Gibson's christian name. Orville & Orville by Gibson guitars are very highly rated. They are really well made. In 1998, they changed the name from Orville to Epiphone Elite but essentially they are the same guitars

This Orville is a faithful reproduction of a Les Paul Custom but at a fraction of the price with a super heavy Mahogany body & neck. A carved Maple top. A bound ebony fretboard & gold coloured hardwear. As I said, don't expect pristine as it's been used over it's near 30 year life. Points to note are that the nut has been replaced as well as one of the strap buttons which is chrome, not gold . There are various dents  and scratches all over the guitar  but about what you would expect from it's age. The frets are good with no indents and the neck is straight. The Japanese made PAF pickups sound fab & the guitar sustains really well

Hard Case

As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit.  Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £30 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag

If you are further interested in this guitar, you can either email me with any queries & I'll do my best to get back to you within 24 hours.

Or, you can buy easily and safely using the paypal "buy now" button. Don't forget to select the right option using the drop down menu on price, i.e. Collection, UK shipping or EU shipping. If in doubt, please email me first as Highlands & Islands can sometimes be a little dearer for shipping
