2021 Tokai Japan LS-129 GT Gold Top & new Hard Case

£849.00 + shipping

Yet another lovely guitar from Tokai Japan, this Les Paul Gold top is an absolute beauty. Built to the highest standards the guitar just oozes quality. The Tokai Vintage Series are probably one of my best sellers & never hang around long. Prices change all the time and so I did an internet search. I found a seller in Holland who was advertising them new at €1900 which is around £1,640.00. I found some used ones at £1,000-£1,200 so this one, selling at under £900 is excellent value. I priced it a little lower as it has a small dent on the rear edge (see gallery) and a couple of scratches on the body. These scratches are not deep and can only be seen when you hold the guitar up to the light. Unfortunately, the camera won't pick them up. The guitar is, like all my guitars, supplied with a new hard case.

For anyone who may not be aware, I believe the "LS" stands for "Les Paul Standard" & the number afterwards relates to the finish quality and price in Japanese Yen, with the Japanese models going up from LS-62 right up to LS-200. The LS-129 is one of the higher end models. In the 1980's the models had much lower numbers (LS-60 & LS-80) which was because the prices were cheaper 40 years ago. All in all, a fabulous guitar that will be hard to let go :)

This Tokai LS129 GT is finished with a beautiful gold top. Built to the highest of Japanese standards, the guitar has everything you’d want from a vintage Les Paul. Tokai has been making these guitars for over forty years, a fact attested to by both the minute attention to detail and high component quality. They don’t come around very often either

TOKAI Japan LS-129 GT

The Tokai LS-129GT combines features from classic Les Paul guitars, for an unmistakable look and a very affordable price point for the level of quality and Japanese craftsmanship. Vintage correct appointments abound, from the top hat bell knobs with pointers, to the PAF-Vintage MK2 pickups. In terms of playing feel, the 50's/60's neck profile is supremely comfortable, while the  Maple gold top looks fabulous

All in all it's an excellent guitar from Tokai Japan that's hard to find here in the UK

Hard Case Policy

As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit.  Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag.

If you are further interested in this guitar, you can either email me with any queries & I'll do my best to get back to you within 24 hours.

Or, you can buy quickly and safely using the PayPal "buy now" button and I will ship to most UK addresses the next working day. Highlands and Islands can be slightly dearer but I'll keep the cost as low as I can.

I can accept credit card payments by phone and will also offer a small discount to purchasers using bank transfer payments.

Overseas customers are very welcome but please email me first for shipping quotes.
