Bacchus guitars are excellent. Made by Deviser in Japan they make various models and in different grades. At the top are the "Handmade Series" which are what they say & they command a high price. The next level down are the "Craft Series" of which this is one. Fantastic build quality & made in Japan to a high spec. I have now imported 12 Bacchus guitars & all have been superb.
This guitar has an Alder body and a Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard. The neck pickup is a Japanese Momose/Hot Rod 60's (warm sounding) & the bridge pickup is a Fender USA Mascis J pickup (much brighter tone). Cloth covered wiring etc etc. The rest of the hardwear is top quality GOTOH. The other addition is a "Buzz stop" bar which is fitted on the bridge which prevents the strings "popping off" the bridge during playing which has been a common problem with all Jazzmasters since they were introduced.
Condition.
The guitar is 15 years old and has had come use but overall condition is very good & everything apart from the bridge pickup & buzz stop bar is original.
There are tiny cracks in the neck pocket (see photo gallery) and there are are several very small dents and scratches on the body consistent with a guitar of this age.
The neck is in excellent condition and the frets are level with no indents. The guitar is in excellent playing condition.

This is a discontinued model and is rarely seen outside Japan. It's actually guitar number 1002 in my records & the first Bacchus Jazzmaster that I have seen in all that time. All in all it's an excellent guitar from the Deviser factory in Japan that you probably won't find here in the UK
Hard Case Policy
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. This case is a new one from Thomann in Germany. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag.
