JAPAN IMPORT
Canadian guitar builders "Godin" have long had a great reputation for making great instruments. I've owned quite a few different kinds over the years from 5th Avenues, Freeways, G-1000 etc but my favourites were the Artisan range from the 1990's. Strats & Telecasters. I've had around 6 in total but that was all probably 20 years ago. When I saw this "rather used" Artisan in Cognac burst, I was very tempted. On it's arrival I instantly remembered how nicely these guitars play from the first few notes & chords. Lightweight, well balanced, superb electronics & very easy to play.
Condition on this guitar is good for its age but cosmetically there are a few dents and scrapes that are highlighted in the gallery photos. None of these affect the play in any way. The frets have no indents and have plenty of life remaining.
Godins have always been recognised for their great electronics. It has a set of twin bladed pickups and two push/pull potentiometers which give a fantastic range of tones. The push/pull is a mid range filter. When activated, it cuts half the dB level at 600 Hz.
It also has a set of Grover enclosed tuners, through body stringing

As stated many times, due to courier damage, all my guitars are shipped in hard cases (usually new) this one being a Gear4Music black rectangular one. If you are collecting, I'm happy to knock off the price of the case (About £50) & I may even have an old gig bag you can have to take it away in.
So to sum up, an excellent guitar from Ibanez & built at the Fujigen plant in Japan. This model is not so easy (or as cheap) to find here in the UK unless you import it. Why not play something that's just a little bit different?
