JAPAN IMPORT

I see these Fernandes guitars quite often for sale in Japan but this is the first one that I have imported. I have imported a few Burny guitars (same make & factory) and all have been excellent so I decided I'd have a look at one of these. There are several models but I thought I would try and get a higher end model which this one is. The main difference from others being that this one has active pickups which I have to say sound excellent. Bright, clear & responsive with plenty of punch!

This particular guitar has a few nicks & scratches but nothing excessive & for a 30+ year old guitar is extremely good. The active pickups work as they should and are powered by a 9 volt (PP9) battery.

If you are not already aware, Fernandes & Burny guitars almost never have a serial number anywhere on the body. The only way to date them really is from old catalogues. All Burny & Fernandes guitars from this era were made in Japan.

I think that this guitar plays extremely well & would be a worthy addition to any collection.

Hard Case Policy

As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. This case is a nice new fitted one from Thomann in Germany.  Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag.
