Yet another lovely guitar from Tokai Japan, this 2011 LS-178 Les Paul Gold top with P-90 pickups is an absolute beauty. Built to the highest standards the guitar just oozes quality. It looks amazing and plays so well, it's an absolute joy.
The guitar is in great condition but at 15 years old, it does have a couple of small blemishes and some minor dents. These are shown in the gallery and are a small knock/blemish on one side of the headstock (see gallery) and a small area of missing finish on the lower edge (see gallery) there are a few minor dents but these are too small for the camera to pick up The guitar is, like all my guitars, supplied with a new hard case.
For anyone who may not be aware, I believe the "LS" stands for "Les Paul Standard" & the number afterwards relates to the finish quality and price in Japanese Yen, with the Japanese models going up from LS-62 right up to LS-200. The LS-178 is one of the higher end models. In the 1980's the models had much lower numbers (LS-60 & LS-80) which was because the prices were cheaper 40 years ago. All in all, a fabulous guitar that will be hard to let go :)
This Tokai LS-178 GT is finished with a beautiful gold top. Built to the highest of Japanese standards, the guitar has everything you’d want from a vintage Les Paul. Tokai has been making these guitars for over forty years, a fact attested to by both the minute attention to detail and high component quality. They don’t come around very often either

Hard Case
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag.
