JAPAN IMPORT

This Fender Made in Japan  Cyclone finished in ever popular 3 tone Sunburst & with a Rosewood fretboard was a  model originally made for the Japanese domestic market. A few have since made their way over here and are proving to be pretty popular. The Cyclone has a similar shape and scale length to the Mustang but has a slightly thicker body which is Alder (on Japanese models), a specially designed Humbucker at the bridge and a single coil at the neck, a Stratocaster style synchronised tremolo system and also has a more modern 9.5” radius fretboard, “U”-shaped neck, . The guitar is quite light & weighs in at just 3.32kg (7lb 5oz)

Overall condition of this guitar is near mint and was described as "A" by the dealer in Japan. The film is still on the scratchplate and it looks to have barely been played. The frets are excellent with no indents. These Japanese reissues retailed in the UK at £1199.00 in 2024. I have seen a couple selling for £969.00 but that is supplied with a thin gig bag

Here is some history from the web relating to the Cyclone:

The Fender Cyclone denotes a series of electric guitars made by Fender. Introduced in late 1997, the Cyclone body is similarly styled to the Mustang, but it is a quarter of an inch thicker than the body of a Mustang and is made of poplar, whereas contemporary Mustang reissues were made of basswood & Japanese reissues made of Alder.

Made in Japan Limited Cyclone
In May 2024, in a first for Fender Japan, a limited edition Cyclone was introduced based on the original 1997 model. Equipped with specially designed pickups, this model is available with either a maple or rosewood fretboard, and comes in multiple new finishes.

Product Description

The Made in Japan Limited Cyclone™ is a reissue of the very popular Mexican model that was first introduced in 1997.

Like the Mustang®, the Cyclone features a small offset body, a 24.75" medium scale, and the same vintage tremolo unit as the Stratocaster®, giving it a distinctive appearance.

Incorporating the Made in Japan Cyclone Humbucking and Made in Japan Cyclone Single-Coil pickups developed exclusively for this model, produce powerful, articulate tones and offer a wide variety of tones fit for any musical genres.

Other features include a Modern "C" satin-finished maple neck, 22 medium jumbo frets, and 9.5" radius maple or rosewood fingerboard providing long hours of comfortable playability. The satin-finished neck is meticulously handmade for a smooth natural feel.

This unique limited guitar will only be available in 2024.

Hard Case

As with all my guitars, a hard case is included in the sale. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag.

If you are further interested in this guitar, you can either email me with any queries & I'll do my best to get back to you within 24 hours.

Or, you can buy quickly and safely using the PayPal "buy now" button and I will ship to most UK addresses the next working day. Highlands and Islands can be slightly dearer but I'll keep the cost as low as I can.

I can accept credit card payments by phone and will also offer a small discount to purchasers using bank transfer payments.

Overseas customers are very welcome but please email me first for shipping quotes.
