Here we have a semi-hollow Telecaster that combines versatile tones with easy playability. The Fender Japan "TN-93SPL" features a lightweight ash semi-hollow body and a three-pickup configuration: two USA-made Texas Special single pickups and a Dragster J humbucker.
The five-way selector provides a wide range of sound, from bright, punchy single pickups to powerful humbucker tones. Position 2 on the 5 way switch gives a great "out of phase" Stratocaster sound which is great for funk rhythms. These guitars were made in very limited numbers in the mid-2000s as part of the J-Craft collection. It was sold exclusively in Japan. The lightweight body offers comfortable playability and a rich variety of tones.
It has a modern Tele neck with a 9.5 radius maple fingerboard and a lightweight thinline ash body (2.99kg). It’s structurally and electrically fine. Dead straight maple neck, truss rod turning and plenty of life in the frets. There are a few small age related dents on both sides of the body but I would describe the condition as excellent for a near 20 year old guitar. All in all a pretty special Fender 3 pickup thinline Telecaster
An excellent player & superb looker. This Tele really ticks all the boxes for me and I can't see it hanging around for very long.

All in all it's an excellent guitar from Fender in Japan that you probably won't find here in the UK
Hard Case Policy
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. This case is a nice new one from Thomann or Gear4music. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag.
