As you have probably already guessed, I am a huge fan of the FGN range of guitars. That's what I choose to play when I'm out gigging because for me, they have it all. Fantastic Japanese craftsmanship, Mahogany thinline body & Maple neck, compound radius fretboard, Excellent  pickups with 3 way switching, CFS for improved intonation, satin finish to the neck The list goes on and on!

General condition for this guitar is not perfect. When it came in it had a few knocks, the worst being on the back on the lower bout. Some lacquer had chipped away leaving the bare Mahogany. This has now been repaired along with a couple of other knocks on the edges and a small knock on the front of the lower bout. All of these have now been filled, smoothed and polished as you can see in the gallery photos. None of them affect playability in any way. To  me, this really is a guitarist's guitar.

The neck is beautifully straight and feels a little thicker to me than some other FGN's but I liked it and took the guitar on a gig with me :) It performed very well. Low action, good sustain from the pickups & very nice to play

Here's some blurb from FGN

Taken from FGN’s Neo Classic range of electric guitars, the FGN NTL11-MMHT Mahogany Thinline is here presented in a natural Mahogany finish with Maple neck and fretboard. This Japanese-made electric guitar features stunning build quality. It now comes with a compound radius fretboard & FGN's own Humbucker and Bridge pickups. FGN’s Circle Fretting System (C.F.S.), handmade fret edges, and GOTOH Vintage Tuners complete the package.

The compound radius fingerboard has smaller (rounder) radius towards nut while larger (flatter) radius towards neck end i.e. similar to a shape of a cone. This allows for much easier chord playing at lower frets while having less stress, especially when bending strings at higher registers.

As stated many times, due to courier damage, all my guitars are shipped in hard cases (usually new) this one being a plain black one. If you are collecting, I'm happy to knock off the price of the case (About £50) & I may even have an old gig bag you can have to take it away in

So to sum up, an excellent guitar from Fujigen Japan. This model is not so easy (or as cheap) to find here in the UK unless you import it. Why not play something that's just a little bit different?
