Bacchus guitars are excellent. Made by Deviser in Japan they come in different grades. At the top is the "Handmade Series" which this is one. The next level down are the "Craft Series" which are also excellent. Fantastic build quality & made in Japan to a high spec. I have had 3 or 4 Bacchus guitars & all have been superb. What attracted me to this one was the beautifully figured Ash body and the P90 at the neck. I currently use a Telecaster which I love but I find the neck pickup just a little weak at times. This guitar doesn't have any of those problems. The pickups are very highly rated and are made at the Deviser factory. Cloth covered wiring etc etc. The rest of the hardwear is top quality GOTOH. So with the addition of a contoured 2 piece Ash body with an oiled finish and a nice slim Maple neck which is bare finished and has a flatter 9.5" fretboard, it ticks all the right boxes for me!

This neck pickup is characteristic of a deep and sharp tone while the dry and chunky tones of the bridge pickup give you a high versatility and expressiveness. With great attention to detail, a good contour that is comfortable to the player, and amazing balance overall, this model is the new standard for TE-type guitars.
This guitar oozes quality & superb build quality. Checking out other Bacchus suppliers, apparently the Handmade series are mostly built by a single craftsperson & it really shows. Looking at the Bacchus website, this guitar was built at the Deviser factory at Aska Japan in 2011. The guitar does have a roadworn look this is because of the oiled finish and there are a few marks and scratches on both sides of the guitar as shown in the gallery but the playing condition is excellent & it is ideal for those players who want something just a little different. The handmade T masters come in many different options and retail at around £1500 in the UK so this excellent instrument is priced well.
All in all it's an excellent guitar from the Deviser factory in Japan that you probably won't find here in the UK
Hard Case Policy
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. This case is a new one from Thomann in Germany. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag.
