2005 Epiphone Japan Elitist Les Paul Studio & original fitted hard case

Another beautiful guitar from Epiphone Japan finished in Tobacco Sunburst. The Les Paul Studio is the slightly plainer version of the Les Paul Standard. There is no body or fretboard binding & the fretboard has dot rather than block markings. Otherwise, they are the same in dimensions etc.This is one of several Elitists I have imported from Japan. They all look to be from old stock. Whether they were purchased in bulk from Fujigen and kept in storage I don't know but all still have protective plastic on the pickguards, back plates & pickups. As you can see from the photographs, it looks to never have been played although it was made in 2005. Here is a little info regarding the series:
The Elitist Series were made at the Terada and Fuji-gen factories in Japan. (F serial indicates Fujigen manufacture) The same factories that made all of the Orville by Gibson and Orville guitars the Terada guitar factory mostly making the semi acoustic models and the Fuji-Gen guitar factory mostly making the solid body models. The Elitist Les Paul was made from 2002-2008
The Elitist guitars were made to very high specifications. Most of the parts were made in Japan but some parts were made in other countries, including the USA and Germany. These guitars cost more than twice as much as a standard Epiphone guitar. The Elitist series was discontinued in 2008
The Epiphone Elitist Series includes features such as real Abalone and Pearl inlays, bone nuts and saddles, hand-rubbed finishes, USA strings and meticulous adjustment and set-up.
This guitar has the distinctive "Tombstone" headstock shape and is equipped with Gibson USA pickups. It also comes with a lovely hard case which also is near mint.
This is an excellent opportunity to buy one of these classic Japanese guitars in almost unused condition
