JAPAN IMPORT
These Edwards Telecasters don't come up that often & this is only the second one I have purchased. This guitar features an Alder body with amber-colored binding, a Maple neck, a Rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, and Seymour Duncan STR-2 and Seymour Duncan STL-1 pickups, with series/parallel wiring selectable via the push-push tone switch.
The lacquer top coat adds a touch of texture to the TL-type pickups, and the Duncan pickups feature a series/parallel output configuration, making it highly versatile.
The pickguard has been replaced. There are signs of wear (minor scratches, scuffs, pick marks, buckle marks, tarnish, nicks, and rust on metal parts and screws).
Edwards guitars are assembled in Japan by ESP. The bodies & necks are made at an ESP factory in a northern province in China overseen by Japanese ESP employees. All the finishing is done at a facility in Tokyo, Japan. As far as I am aware, Edwards guitars are generally close replicas of USA guitars & as such, they are just made for the Japanese domestic market. What I will say about them is that they are built to a really high standard & not only that, they use good woods (Ash/Alder/Mahogany etc) and are usually fitted with USA pickups & electrics (CTS pots & switches) and Japanese GOTOH hardwear. The Edwards Les Paul range are always popular & they never hang around very long.
This particular guitar is from 2011 is finished in Lake Placid Blue. It has been well looked after. It does have a few tiny chips on the edges of the body but nothing excessive & the pickguard has been replaced, as stated.
I did check under the pickguard and was pleased to see that no additional holes had been made. Otherwise it's excellent. Please check out the gallery photos. As I said, Edwards have given this a vintage style finish which looks great. The pickups from Seymour Duncan USA sound great. The frets show no visible wear & the guitar plays really well. It's comfortable, weighs just 3.70kg

Hard Case Policy
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag.
If you are further interested in this guitar, you can either email me with any queries & I'll do my best to get back to you within 24 hours.
Or, you can buy quickly and safely using the PayPal "buy now" button and I will ship to most UK addresses the next working day. Highlands and Islands can be slightly dearer but I'll keep the cost as low as I can.
I can accept credit card payments by phone and will also offer a small discount to purchasers using bank transfer payments.
Overseas customers are very welcome but please email me first for shipping quotes.
