2018 Fender Made In Japan FSR AST Aerodyne Stratocaster Dakota Red & New Hard Case

The Aerodyne Stratocaster from Fender Japan is not often seen outside Japan. They are popular with the domestic market & other than a few Black ones, I haven't seen any others in the UK (apart from my imports) They are a lightweight Stratocaster (this one is just 3.35kg) with body binding & a colour matched headstock. They either have a H/S/S pickup configuration or, like this one the traditional S/S/S. The other important feature with the Aerodyne is that they come in two scale lengths, the standard 25.5" or as a 24.75" M or "Gibson" scale length. This is the standard model with a 25.5" scale length. The Aerodynes are equipped with Fender Japan vintage pickups which sound great.
This particular guitar is from an FSR (factory short run or limited edition) range that came out in 2018 & is in Dakota which looks stunning! It's the only one I have seen. It is in excellent condition. There was a small dent & paint chip on the bottom edge plus a couple of tiny dents on the top which have been repaired and have been photographed (gallery) Otherwise, there are some playing marks on the pickguard and that is about it.
Regarding the repair on the bottom edge, the dent had gone through to the wood. It has been touched in, filled & polished but the Dakota Red paint purchased in the UK differs slightly to the original. This may be due to age & it will fade eventually. It's on the bottom edge & not visible but please take a look at the close up photos in the gallery. It measures 4mm-2mm
What appeals to me about the Aerodynes is how lightweight they are and the flatter more modern 9.84" fretboard radius which makes them easier & so nice to play. Real head turning guitars. This is an excellent example.

Hard Case
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. This case is a nice new fitted one from Thomann in Germany. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £30 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that i won't ship a guitar in a gigbag
