1997-2000 Fender Japan TN-70 MAHO Telecaster Thinline (USA Van Zandt Pickups) & New Hard Case

This 1997-2000 guitar is a bit of a classic from Fender Japan. It's a chambered, semi hollow body is made from Mahogany and the neck is Maple with a Maple fretboard. At 3.29kg, it's nice and lightweight . It also features the 70's Logo on the headstock.
The guitar is all original apart from the pickups which have been upgraded to a set of USA Van Zandt pickups which sound great and are very highly rated
The condition of the guitar is good for the year with a straight neck & no indents on the frets which have plenty of life left in them. There are some chips around the guitar & some tiny dents and minor scratches. I also noticed some lacquer cracking around the pickguard screws in the region of the input socket. Unfortunately too faint to be picked up on my camera. They aren't structural. They may have been caused by over tightening of pickguard screws or maybe the guitar took a slight knock in the area of the pickguard so a dent wouldn't show but the lacquer was cracked.
This isn't a guitar that comes up for sale very often and an internet search revealed some Custom shop models for around £5,000 & the only Japanese one having recently sold for £1,100.00 making this one a very good price. The guitar is a joy to play.
